FKT: Thomas Beedell - Thames Estuary Path (United Kingdom) - 2021-01-01

Great way to welcome the new year in! This is a really good route that I would recommend to others and suggest utilising Tim's gpx. It was pretty wet and muddy at this time of year so it would be good to do when the conditions are drier and I will also consider doing it in reverse. The navigation near South Benfleet was a challenge, especially with a tired mind after running more than 20 miles, and so I would strongly suggest doing a recce before. The route includes a couple of U-turns after Thurrock Thameside which mean it is not entirely direct but there are clear signs to follow. About half of the route is on hard paths/road so consider your footwear choice.
