On Friday a few minutes before 7 in the morning I started in Sinzig and ran the Ahrsteig against the current of the river up to the source in Blankenheim. Friends of mine did the same in the downstream direction. So when finished we could use each others cars to return home. The evening before we stashed water at 20/40/60 and 80 km and the rest we carried all the way ourselves.
In perfect running weather I managed to finish in just under 11 hours.
