Not too much in the way of documentation picture-wise, as I was delicately sliding around the rocks due to forgetting my shoes and opting to make do with an older retired pair that I had worn for the drive there.
The first two-thirds of this was incredible on trail, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for much better conditions weather-wise (once I ducked under treeline towards Isolation). Was able to run everything from the treeline to Ferncroft without issues, and did a little better filtering water through the one filter cap, despite it seemingly getting clogged at the second stop. The last ~15 miles on the road didn’t turn out to be the ‘easy miles’ I expected them to be. Stomach issues cropped up around 2 miles into the road portion as I lost track of my eating, and by the last 10 miles I was growing increasingly concerned about the limited water I had left. Those two were the primary contributors to a major slowdown in this last stretch and multiple trips into the woods on the side of the road.
Plenty to improve for the future, but overall very happy to get this done and was really happy to have a great day chasing the ghosts of Clark Plummer and Allie Leveille from their successful run last weekend in the stifling humidity.
