Lovely Saturday run, started at about 7am after taking a train from my home in Chester to Frodsham. Chilly day but sunny the whole way until near Whitchurch when I got dumped on by a half-hour hail storm. Phone died too, but fortunately was in touching distance of Llangollen Canal. My bad for not bringing an actual map. Towpath was closed which explains the nightmare diversion onto the Whitchurch bypass. Waited 90 mins for a train and nearly froze to death. Ticket on phone, so no ticket to display. No problem as I looked deranged at this point so staff just let me proceed. Daft choice to run in regular Waveriders... hadn't gotten round to buying new trail shoes. So Compeeds were critical. Run was not as boggy as expected, which was nice. It's a beautiful route. Recommended, but I'd probably run it back to front for easier transport at Frodsham.
