Excellent day! One oldie and two young-uns (well - 30 somethings) set of at 10am in rain. It dried up after about an hour, but left it very slippery in places. Luke was please to have chosen his Inov-8s. We actually ran longer than the proper route as we ran down to Bamford Station where we'd left the car to reload with fluid and food. A 10 minute diversion and 10 minute stop - neither subtracted from the time, which is true elapsed.
Some great views, despite the occasional low cloud and murk. Lots of walkers, but didn't see any other runners. Two of us each had a low point (mine was going up Stanage and down into Hathersage), but we all picked up for a strong finish. Luke and Row could definitely have gone faster, but they were kind to the old man (60 on Thursday!).
Funny (potentially nasty) incident in a walled track when a charging cow (attempting to get back to its calf) caused us all to climb/dive over a gate/wall to get out of its way.
Photos (and video?) to follow.
