I ran the Mendip Way, UK from Uphill Sluice, Weston-super-Mare to The Cheese and Grain Cafe in Frome on 5th September, supported. I was re-supplied with food and water en route, by a small crew of 2 - Camille Abrahams (my wife), and Phil Collins a close friend and fellow runner. I was joined twice by a 3rd friend, Steve Wood, who ran with me from Priddy to Wells (5.5 miles) and again from Chelynch to Frome (11 miles).
It was a great day and I had lots of online support. My wife shared my schedule on Facebook and I always remained slightly ahead of my projected times. The FKT really caught my imagination at first and then that of my friends. I plodded into Frome and touched the plaque at 17.50.
