Finally got out and ran Amabilis! I've been there once, in the spring "xc skiing" (in quotes b/c I'm not a very good skate skier). Was curious what it looks like when there is no snow and wanted to see the entire loop since it wasn't open when I was there. Well, it's gorgeous! I wanted to stop and take so many pictures along the way because the fall foliage is beautiful, but I held myself to mental pics other than one at the top and one on the way down. 5th and 6th miles are slow because I consulted the map and took photos. Gotta love GPS - it shows my start and finish in different places, but there's a wooden post on the north side of the road that I used for my start/finish lines. :) Haven't run anything like this in years and it was nice to do something short and fun. Will definitely use this for future training. It's a peaceful route with awesome views that you'll likely have to yourself.
