Beautiful day for first FKT attempts! It was mostly a social run to celebrate some birthdays. We rounded it off to a full marathon to honor the Fred Fosha Scary Mary tradition by ending at the lower Bogus lodge.
Four of us were present to ring the bell at 630 including Fred Fosha, Louie Beech and Ben Keeler who peeled off at Dry Creek to celebrate the rest of his birthday with his wife and baby. Amanda Stinger and Rebecca Pape were a welcome buoy joining us for Hard Guy. We chased Sean Timpane from Dry Creek to Shafer Butte and he provided shuttle via bike in the pouring rain complete with a fire and cooler of beer at the finish!
Halloween candy was the most common fuel source.
