Aspetuck trail out and back starting at southern trail head. There are a couple tough intersections that I caught myself going the wrong direction on. Make sure you bring phone or map to stay on the right trail. Hit the turn around at about 49 minutes and similar time coming back. There is a 2.5ish mile section on pavement/dirt roads but they are mostly closed to traffic. The rest of the trail is single track and pretty technical in some sections. My GPS watch had the total at 12.45 miles with over 1200 feet of elevation gain. Mostly runnable, though I did power hike a couple of the hills coming back as my legs were pretty torched. Saw less than a dozen people the whole time and everyone was very courteous and stepped 6 feet off the trail as I ran past. Did this unsupported and with no water, was a cool spring day but still probably should have brought a hand held and some fuel. All in all, a beautiful classic CT trail.
