After Wednesday's inadvertent FKT on the route during recon, I knew I could take some considerable time off the FKT if I gave it a serious effort so while the route was fresh in my mind I came back Sunday. I think I started off right around 6:15am and went from the Black Elk Peak TH Kiosk (#9 Trail) to the summit plaque and back almost 6 minutes faster, splitting low 28min at summit and just over 22min down.
