TGIF! What a spring like day to carry 3.5L water and all the nutrition needs to run/hike/labor from Cold Spring Harbor to Massapequa Preserve and back!
The south bound run went smooth and on pace as I planned. Unfortunately, the return trip wasn't so nice and I had to deal with a few issues including slight cramp on the inner thighs at around mile 20/21, a bit of bonking between mile 25-30 as I failed to keep up with my nutrition, and then the IT band started acting up after mile 32. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every minute of the it and for the most part being alone on the trails except for the last mile on the CSH trail, the most popular hiking section of this route.
