I ran this on a cool, overcast morning. Lots of dew down low but the rock was dry. I opted to bring a single filter flask rather than packing water, which for a short route on a cool day worked great. Filled up below the Lake of the False Prophet and that was all I needed. For nutrition, I had three Maurten gels and one applesauce packet.
The GPX tracks from previous efforts made routefinding easy, though I still lost maybe 10 minutes to wrong turns; amazing how quickly you can get off track when trying to maintain a high effort level above tree line. The most demoralizing one was going halfway up the right side of the summit cirque before realizing I needed to drop down and traverse left. Caught it early though at least!
There's so much potential for exploration in this area. I'd love to go back and do some ridgeline scrambling and also see the Lake of Angels.
