Started off from Llandaff Cathedral just before 9am and aimed to run the first few sections at a steady pace in order to give ourselves a little buffer for the last couple of climbs. The trails and fields were fairly saturated after all of the wet weather that we have been having recently, this made some of the earlier sections fairly slow going as we were running through ankle deep mud and shallow streams in places. Navigation was fairly straight forward and the route is well sign posted. The last climb up to the golf course is brutal. Our loose aim was to get to the end point in around 3 hours 30 so happy that we came in pretty close to that in tough conditions.
We had no support at all and carried all our own kit and nutrition from start to finish.
