17 trips up. 17 trips down. 5,151 steps up. 5,151 steps down. My GPS watch isn't great with elevation, especially in the woods. The real elevation gain is 3,381 ft. Nonetheless, my Strava data confirms 17 completed laps up and down the stairs. I had water at the bottom that I would drink periodically. Ended up with quite the cheering section throughout the attempt and some people even ran a few laps with me, including a young boy who is going to be a stud runner one day! Fellow rotating med student, Micah Gerakinis, joined me for the last couple and brought me some candy and pop. Really enjoyed all the company I had today. Challenging effort and beautiful area in West Michigan.
