Witt had a SPOT tracker during the hike.  He also posted occasionally on Instagram.  Approximate (almost) daily splits are here.  Shortly after finishing he posted as follows:

"Last night around 9:40 I hit the Mexico border. I promise I’ll do a detailed post about my last few days on trail soon, but for now I want to express my gratitude to all of the people and places that were a part of this experience. Firstly, I want to thank @anishhikes for setting a number that would inspire me, frustrate me, and ultimately give me something to push for. I never felt like I was competing against her, but I felt her spirit driving me to be a better hiker. Often times, I felt that spirit right on my heels, motivating me to go harder than I ever have. She’s been my hero for a long time. I want to thank my friends and family for their constant encouragement and support. They were always willing to lend an ear when I was feeling down, and their texts and calls helped me through more than they’ll ever know. My dad even flew from Atlanta to meet me at the end! The volunteers and trail angels that make the Arizona Trail so special, deserve much more praise than I can express here. It is not just the magical places that make this trail so incredible, but the people that surround it, including all of the other thru-hikers I met along the way. I also want to thank the spirits, wildlife, and plants that inhabit this path for allowing me to move freely, safely, and harmoniously. This was one of the toughest and most beautiful experiences of my life. Thanks to all of you for following along. This was technically a self-supported effort, but it would be impossible to claim I didn’t feel supported by y’all. "

Later Witt submitted his SPOT data, photos and this:

"Hey Ya'll, Just wanted to officially submit my Arizona Trail FKT. Thanks so much for organizing this site. My friends and family loved being able to use the site to follow along and to see your updates about my progress. I really enjoyed listening to your podcasts as I hiked at night. It was cool, because I felt like I was actually learning some techniques in real time from guys like Scott Jurek and Karl Sabbe! This was one of the greatest and most challenging experiences of my life, and I'm a little intimidated about where my mind was going as far as what is next! I Haven't completed my trip report yet, but I posted updates via my Instagram while hiking the trail. I'll post one more update from the final days of my hike, and I'll compile a complete trip report. I realized I needed to spend less time on my phone out there! ha! Anyways, if there is anything else that you need please let me know. Thanks again! Best, Witt"
