No one out on the trails at Miles Notch today. Thought I might be a little sleepy, but still sent it. The loop was pretty damp throughout and there were lots of blowdowns on the Red Rocks portion. The descent on Great Brook was a fun mix of sliding down loose, wet dirt and taking really quick steps to try to regain balance. Once I hit the fire road I felt like I had some juice left in the legs and tried to motor to get under 2 hours.
Overall, it was a solid day on a slightly off-the-beaten-path loop that is the perfect distance for a weekend jaunt. Hope to get back here in the summer!
