Just over 5 mins to the base, ~ 9 mins for the climb, and 10 mins for the walk off and descent. Spent about 2.5 mins total changing into, and out of, rock shoes.
Great route, kudos to Jason Hardrath for pioneering these flatiron style run & scrambles at Smith. There are definitely several more routes that can be done in this style that aren't on FKT yet, Jason and I have been tossing around a few ideas. Would love to see these get more attention from others!
**Note that there is a variation between Jason's original FKT on this and mine (he tagged misery summit after the climb, whereas I did not). After discussing it on the phone afterwards we determined that skipping the misery ridge summit is an acceptable aesthetic for this route going forward, and so FKTers need not tag the misery summit on future attempts of this route. Tagging the summit would have definitely added time on to my effort, likely in the ballpark of 5-6 minutes based on the discrepancy in distance & gain between my strava and Jason's (about .5 mile and 100ish feet of gain), and the fact that a portion of the terrain involves easy scrambling, as opposed to straightforward running.
