We ran the course in reverse of the original post, starting in Fort Lee and ending at City Hall. The weather started very foggy with scattered light rain, but as the day went on things cleared up. We ran to celebrate our friends birthday and took our time to enjoy all the sights and new bridges that we'd never seen before.
We took our first extended break in Harlem at Lucille's Coffee shop, where we sat for a nice hot drink. This shop has also been a good stop when running the Manhattan Perimeter casually. From there, everything was smooth with a mix of running and walking until the next major rest at Trader Joe's in Greenpoint.
From here, it got a little difficult until we crossed the Williamsburg Bridge. Once we got to Chinatown, it was one final push through about a 5K to cross the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge to the finish. We celebrated with Fried Dumpling and Mei Lai Wah, eventually making our way to Taiwan Pork Chop House for a warm space and hot food.
