Went out on Sunday to go check out this loop. Was thinking that this would be an exploratory run, but my legs were feeling decent, so I decided to go for it. Saw a few other trail runners and a few backpackers.
Midway in the loop, I think my dog Shasta went chasing after some baby deer near Lake Harriette and so I had to retrace my steps after completing this loop. He usually follows like 50 yards behind me when he's tired, but I've never managed to fully lose him until today. Found him hours later and after 20+ miles of running and whistling around looking for him.
