FKT: Zach Medeiros - First Landing State Park- Long Creek & Cape Henry Loop - 2023-04-21

Ran the loop, was aiming for a faster time but the heat slowed me down quite a bit. Still a very solid, successful run. I'm curious if the loop could be run faster in the reverse direction, as the sandy first half in this direction exhausts the legs. I carried all my food and water with a handheld bottle. This is a very accessible FKT route as there is plenty of access to water/bail-out points in the heat, and plenty of other park visitors in case something goes wrong. It's also short and flat, with the only difficulty being the loose, sandy terrain. I am confident this time will be lowered considerably, and soon.
