FKT: Zachary Szablewski - Jones/Lower Talkington/Lower Paddock Loop (ND) - 2022-08-21

This was beautiful loop and I think the shortest FKT I have ever attempted. I was on a crosscountry trip, moving my dad out to Ravensdale, Washington so I figured I may as well do an attempt out a route in Roosevelt National Park.. I started the run shortly before noon and the temperature was 82 ℉ and it was sunny without a cloud in the sky. The run went very well. There was only one occasion where I almost lost the trail, but quickly recovered. The only major issue I encountered was the large herd of bison with about a mile to go in the run. I had to slow way down and weave my way safely around the animals but it cost me several minutes. I pushed the pace into the finish in order to make up the lost time.
