Started from Terrace Bay beach at 7:21am on August 20th 2021. We first met our crew at A9 for a quick top up of fuel and hydration before tackling Death Valley and Mount Gwynne. We next saw them at A5 Schreiber Beach for a longer stop and BBQ lunch. After, we continued on through the Schreiber Channel segment, received support at Rainbow Falls campground then onto the final segment to finish at Rossport.
The day was hot (30+ at times) and pure sun. We started at Terrace Bay, hoping to take on the hardest sections first. The final two sections however, still provided some challenging hills and boulders crossings. We finished in 14 hours and 17 minutes, needing headlamps just for the final one KM. The trail was in great condition, and very well marked. Our pace was relaxed and enjoyable, with lots of stops to eat, take in the beautiful views, and sign all the guest books!
