Location
Washington, US
Distance
33.08 mi
Vertical Gain
4,462 ft
Description

A multi faceted adventure starting from the end of the Entiat River road, climbing to the top of a ridge, and following the Mad River drainage as far as a trail will take you. This route takes you through multiple ecosystems, through the forest, along rivers, across rivers, and through burn scarred high desert with enticing views along the way.

Much of this trail is open to dirt bikes which ensures the trail remains maintenance but only those on foot can compete the entire route due to multiple bridges out and washouts. Some on route improvisation may be necessary.

An adventurous point to point 50k with a straight forward car shuttle.

I think that there was a mistake when publishing this route, it's 4,462 feet not meters. I just wanted to clarify that, since at a glance that could really turn someone off of doing a 33 mile route with well over 14,000 feet of elevation gain. This looks like a great route! I hope to run this one day, since this would be an epic early-season adventure.

Sorry about that, I just messaged to get that fixed, hopefully it now accurately represents the route!
