Description

Mt Tallac (9735') is a popular day hike south of Lake Tahoe. http://www.tahoebackcountry.net/hiking/desolation/tallac.htm has a description. There are several possible routes, with the most logical being from the Mt Tallac TH and from the Glen Alpine TH.  Ascents of both of these have Strava segments:

Up & Down on Skis: Start anywhere along Spring Creek Road, tag the summit, and return to Spring Creek Road

Hello, I am going to embark on an unsupported FKT of Tallac from the Tallac Trailhead to the Summit tomorrow! Looking forward to giving it a go!
