Description

One of only 16 National Trails in the UK this route combines two long distance trails; Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coast Path.

Peddars Way starts in Suffolk at Knettishall Heath Country Park and follows the route of a Roman road for 79 Km to Holme-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast meeting the Norfolk Coast Path at Holme-next-the-Sea. At this point you need to run to Hunstanton to the beginning of the Norfolk Coastal path and double back on yourself for 4km.

The Norfolk Coast Path is 135 km from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea through fantastic scenery and landscape. The majority of the Trail runs through the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Experience seaside towns and villages, tidal marshes teeming with wildlife, wide sandy beaches, pine woodlands and huge skies.

Comments

I have to question this if you look at the pace data there are sometimes 30-40 minute gaps where the pace goes as fast as 1 minute mileing

(Editor): Can you clarify your comments, please? I can't see any reason to disqualify Dave's run. And, having walked most of this trail, I believe that this time is achievable.

If you look at the data he spends at least 90 minutes running at 1 minute a mile pace plus his heart drops at the same time from 140 to a resting 80 which would signal travel in a vehicle

Regional Editor's decision: The FKT Team has reviewed Dave Phillips' time on this route. I confirm it is valid with no concerns from us.Â
