Route: Kings Peak (UT)

Location
Utah, US
Distance
27 mi
Vertical Gain
5,300 ft
Description

Kings Peak (13,528') lies deep in the Uinta Range and is the highest summit in Utah. There are several trailheads to access Kings, but the shortest and most commonly used approach is from the Henry's Fork TH. Even this route requires a 25-mile round trip with 4000' of vertical gain (and loss).

For some reason, while the "Utah Triple Crown" (Kings, South Kings and Gilbert Peaks) has been pretty hotly contested, Kings itself has seen little reported speed record activity so far. However, there has been an informal "race" on the peak from time to time. More info is here.
