Description

This route follows the Conondale Range Great Walk of The Conondale Ranges in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in southeast Queensland. It is officially a 56km loop usually completed in 4 days hiking comprising mostly of soft rainforest single track and long climbs and descents. The highlight is definitely the views of spectacular Booloumba Falls and Summer Falls and the range of plants and wildlife. Anyone looking to do this route should be aware the area is known for having a large number of snakes and leeches in wet weather. This route follows the Department of Environment and Science official route for the great walk which includes short side trips to Booloumba Falls lookout, Peters Falls, Summer Falls and Mt Allan Fire Tower as well as the 3 campsites along the route.

Weather looks cloudy but warm, so hoping for  a solid run on our semi-recovered UTA legs. 😀
