Conditions were around 35 degrees with a light breeze and a few snowflakes coming down. Trail conditions were good considering there was about 3 inches of snow powder covering the trail. I completed the Quemahoning Reservoir Trail Loop going counterclockwise. Lots of evidence of deer crossings and the snowbirds were bouncing around the undergrowth. Passed a couple of day hikers enjoying the snow-covered forest. I have done this loop dozens of times; incorporating it into my training. Always believed it would be perfect for an FKT route. I am going to continue to throw down times on this trail and hope to break 2 hours on it eventually.....when there isn't snow.
