FKT: Ace Wilder - Zion Crossing (UT) - 2025-12-11

Started just before 06:00 with Matthew and Andy in below freezing temps. The cold temperature worked with us as the sand has often frozen and easier to run on than it would have been. We stopped for a herd of elk to pass around 10:30. We met up with Cynthia for a resupply and to shed some of our warm layers were our route intersected Wildcat Canyon Trail. Shortly after that I decided to split from Matthew and Andy and go at my own pace. The rest of the day continued to offer beautiful views. I did one small back track where I got turned around at an overlook and another small detour where I took a wrong turn before backtracking.
