First time on this great route! Didn't set out with the intention of a fast traverse, but rather just to move efficiently and be down before the possible afternoon thundershowers. Ran up the Abbott Ridge trail with empty bottles expecting to be able to fill them en route to the ridge. However, as I should have suspected, all the creeks were dry and the snow was gone by this time in the season, so I had to settle for the very silty still water in the tarn below Mount Abbott. The rest of the run went smoothly! Picked up the pace on the return from Asulkan Pass once I realized I may be able to go sub 5 hours, but couldn't quite make it. Not sure if this is the actual FKT, but I am unable to find reference to a faster time.
