Report

I took a train to Fishguard and then a taxi to the start line. There is no signage for Waun Mawn so I rang a local taxi in advance to get a driver who knew where it was. The first 80-100 miles were pretty waterlogged. Just couldn’t keep my feet dry and ended up with pretty severe trench foot from 100 miles onwards. Somewhere around mile 65-80 my running vest undone itself in a bush and I lost all my wet and warm kit. Someone came out on day 2 with a resupply of that kit for me. I relied mainly on 24 hour garages for food and water. I did have someone come out at mile 180 and 240 with fresh power packs for my phone and tracker. Someone else also ran part of the Kennett and Avon canal with mile about mile 245-253 ish.
i used Track Trail for my tracker mostly as a safety requirement.
