It was a perfect day for a FKT-attempt: almost no wind, only a few degrees celsius and not so wet (or at least as dry Vålådalen ever gets...). From the parking lot I started the watch and went off, trying to pace myself so that I would last the whole trip. I thought I was running a tiny bit to fast, but apparently I did not. The legs felt alright but a bit tired from the last day's exercising. It could also be that it is quite a lot of uphill from Vålådalen to Lunndörrsstugan... Then I just felt better and better and the mountains were beautiful in all the autumn colors. To Vålåstugorna there was no problems at all, it was fun and I felt strong. The river crossings were allright, not a lot of water but I was still carefull. A kilometer or so after Stensdalsstugan I thought I was on the wrong track, so I lost a few minutes there checking the map. I was on the right one, and since there was only 14k left from there I tried to speed up. The last five k I started to feel some cramps coming, so I ran as fast as I could without making it worse. All in all, a great day and I'm happy with my time! No one ran with me, I ate only what I carried in my back pack. Water I took from the streams.
