Round trip from Pinkham using the bridge as the starting point, going up the sherb and up and down right. Didn’t use crampons. Beautiful day out and pretty content with my uphill effort. As always, so much to improve on the downhill—faffed too much from the summit sign to SE snowfields and lost time there running down between rocks and ice at some point. Lower down missed the entrance to LHW and almost went in the river. Legs were pretty shot on the Sherb. Overall couldn’t ask for better conditions on Feb 15! wore only a windbreaker & no gloves almost throughout.
Carried this objective in mind for the better part of the last three years and finally got to a place where moving in this terrain was not my main limiter. Saw a narrow weather window with spring-like temps and despite having skied 6000m this week already went for it. Not a perfectionist and there are totally faster women out there that can do this!
