My husband, Cory, and I did this loop yesterday, October 27th. It was slow going above treeline with 1-2 foot drifts of crunchy snow on Flattop and what felt like 40-50 mph gusts of wind. Also I ran a 50k last weekend so I was dragging a bit. We did it in 7:57 which is SUPER slow, but as far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be a women's fkt? We stopped to filter water twice and took a lot of pictures... totally worth it, but slowed us down. My garmin said 26.4 miles.
We had backpacked it in 2009 and have wanted to run it ever since. Best part, like you said Lawton, is that you don't have to pay any fees to park at the North Inlet TH and you can see more of the park for free than what people pay to see to drive through the park in the cars.
Here's a blog post with some pictures. alrunning.blogspot.com/2014/10/rmnp-loop.html
