Started at Lily Lake around 7am and did the loop clockwise- heading up to Ralston Peak first. Felt really good from the start all the way to Mt. Price, I had practiced the off trail section between Ralston and Pyramid a few times before so I felt confident in that area. Mike Galgay ran the loop with me and his climbing experience really helped with some of the scrambly, off trail sections. Got bogged down a bit on the climb up to Jacks but a note from some friends on Dicks Peak reignited the fire and gave us the energy to cruise the trail towards Tallac. But once the climb to Tallac started, my legs and back were not happy and we slowed down quite a bit. We were super excited to be back on the downhill on the Mid-Tallac trail but when the trail got more technical I was worried about making the 10 hour goal. We pushed through and even sprinted the last 1/4 mile through the parking lot to get the 10:00:46 time. Overall an amazing day out in Desolation Wildnerness!
