We (Andrew and Andrea) Completed Nolans 14 going northbound Self Supported. For Andrea this set a new Female Self Supported record for Nolans 14, and it is the only Mixed Gender completion of Nolans 14 that we are aware of. After Sleeping at the fish hatchery for awhile we decided to complete Holy Nolans by tacking on Mount of the Holy Cross. This was the first time Holy Nolans was completed in the Northbound direction. It was also the first time completed by a female, and the first time it was completed self-supported.
We completed the entire thing on our own without any external support. We had a few gear/food caches that we set up in advance at some of the standard resupply points (Baldwin Gulch, Avalanche Trailhead, Winfield, Echo Canyon, and Fish Hatchery). We got water from streams along the way.
I've heard it said that no one would ever want to complete Holy Nolans in the northbound direction, because who would ever want to add on Holy Cross after doing Nolans 14. When you finish Nolans on two nights with no sleep it doesn't take long after you finish for you to start to crash. So it was hard to motivate ourselves to get up and continue on the rugged route to Holy Cross after sleeping at the fish hatchery for several hours.
