Overall, this is a really neat trail with a sustained climb, several creek crossings, a technical descent, and great views, especially near the top of the climb.
Navigation was mostly straightforward. I had to backtrack briefly near the intersection with Trail 2129 below Lower Turquoise Lake to cross the creek and rejoin the trail. There also wasn’t much of a trail at the northern edge of Upper Turquoise Lake, so I traversed counterclockwise along the lake, turning around about halfway along it’s length, as Steve had done when he first established the route.
The steep and rocky sections made for a fun and challenging descent! I carried about 500ml of water, three packs of energy chews (I ate about four chews), and a Katadyn BeFree filter that I didn’t end up needing. I look forward to seeing future attempts!
