FKT: Andy Hayner - Migizi Loop (MN) - 2026-08-14

I got to the trail head about a half mile East of the Picnic area on the South side of the lake after 8:15pm. I quicky changed into my running gear, remembered my headlamp and took off at dusk, making it to Cass lake going Clockwise by sun down. Through town I stopped to double check the route at the bike path split and made my way through town along RR street and reached the split on the East side of town at total darkness, you must head toward the Lake to find the paved path again. It was cool, marsh into the calm pine forest of light rolling, but nearly flat second half of the loop. I finished just after 10pm, which is the time the signs read, Park Closed. Did not seem enforced though.
