This one means a lot! As an elite athlete, you have to prove yourself constantly. I wasn't confident. I went in a little sore, and have had some low, tired weeks. The previous FKT was held by a guy who ran 1:02 in the half marathon a few months before! But, I persevered. I got up early, and tried hard. I reminded myself to be patient and to keep positive on the long hard climbs. Ecstatic to get this FKT, to say the least!
