I decided to see a little of Grand Teton National Park on my first trip to Jackson. After racing Rendezvous Mountain Hill Climb on Saturday, I convinced Michelino and Nick to join. We had a great run! Had fun crossing rivers, dodging tourists and we even saw a black bear!
The first left turn is hard to spot, so use your GPX file! The rest is easy going and great views!
The funniest thing happened while running the long downhill towards Jenny Lake. I egged Michelino on run fast 7 minute miles. A set of tourists jumped out the way for dear life. Then another set of hikers started running in front of Michelino at 7 min/mile. After a tenth of a mile or more they asked "WHAT SHOULD WE DO?", in which we responded "I don't know!" It took a minute after we passed them to realize they saw us running and though we were running FROM something.
We decided to end at Jenny Lake TH instead of the ferry, as it is the natural end spot. We ask the admin to consider changing the route to finish at Jenny Lake TH for future attempts. (other wise you have a few miles of trail left to run, or you need to take a tourist ferry)
