That is harder than I remember! Back after a month thanks to warm October weather - this time a little smarter. Pushed the first climb up to peak one - it is steep and reminds me of Sierre Zinal! Got through the technical parts peaks 1-4, probably a little worse than last time - where did all that scree and boulder fields come from? Paced myself and really put on a consistent effort. I knew I was 10-15 minutes behind FKT pace going into peaks 9 and 10. Peak 10 is a technical nightmare. This time, I had the right mindset and really enjoyed it - climbing like a crazed sloth on all fours! And thanks to a great descent, came home with a shiny new time of 4:07:56 TH to TH. 0.5L of water, 2 Honey Stinger gold gels.
Total time is the split at the Burro TH.
