FKT: Angela Firkus - Ruby Jack Trail (MO) - 2020-11-22

I ran from the Carthage trailhead to the Carl Junction Community Center. My husband was waiting there with water, Tailwind, and snacks. The two of us ran together to the Kansas state line and back to Carl Junction. I then made my way back to Carthage. I had never run more than a marathon so this was a challenge for me. I took it slow and finished fine. It was a nice fall day: overcast and cool. That helped make it an enjoyable experience. I saw plenty of wildlife along the way, including deer, snow geese, and maybe a bobcat. I am very glad to have completed the whole route.
