I had an amazing day in the backyard! It was my second run of the full route, and my second FKT on it! It was certainly not ideal conditions, as it poured rain all day... I encountered very slippery trails early on and mud that wanted to suction to my feet. The puddles were deep and cold. Fortunately, when it was sprinkling at the trailhead at 6:30am, I made the last minute decision to carry some warmer layers, which ended up saving me later in the day. I saw 2 grouse, 2 sheep, 2 moose, and a lot of cool birds bedding down in the grass to avoid the storm.
This is considered a Supported FKT because I had some friends along the route filming the experience. I ran the route alone and was not crewed or assisted in any way by these friends, other than the knowledge that they were there :)
