This route is a beautiful mountain circumnavigation of Three-Fingered Jack. Brooke & I are started at Santiam Pass and headed CCW to finish on the PCT. We were unsupported and did not need to filter due to cooler conditions. This route winds around Square Lake, Booth Lake, Jack Lack, and Wasco Lake with plenty of refill options available if needed. The first 10 miles start as a gradual ascent with beautiful views of the Three Sisters and Mount Thielsen. There is a high amount of exposure on this segment. A steeper climb begins up the PCT until you reach the high point with a stunning view of Three-Fingered Jack & the canyon meadow. The route falls into shade for the next 3-4 miles revealing beautiful views of Mount Washington. Upon reaching the burn area, there are several down trees to navigate during your descent to finish. This a PNW must-do!
