Sam Diaz and I left Lupine Meadows at 7:15am on Sunday morning to run the Teton circumnavigation clockwise. Having both done the route counter-clockwise, and experienced the challenges of the climbs on the valley trail on tired legs, we were excited to start with some fun flow-y miles to Death Canyon. We had a lot of ups and downs throughout the day but motivated each other and worked together as a team all day. Seemed that we each felt bad at different times, which worked to our advantage! It was a fight to the finish but we made it back to Lupine in 6:15:55. So glad to have been able to spend a gorgeous day in the mountains with a great friend!
