I ran my very first marathon on this trail in 2014, so there was a bit of nostalgia running it again.
It went a lot better this time around though, despite being on tired legs.
In true rail-to-trail fashion, this trail is more akin to a gravel road, but it passes through some beautiful country. This trail is abundant in wildlife and lacks people... perfect for the times we are in.
I took about 2.5 liters of water with Tailwind, as well as Huma gels for nutrition. I decided to treat this run as a training run and not push the pace, so I found a comfortable cruising speed and enjoyed the views. I didn't have any major lows during the whole effort and stayed fairly consistent.
This trail has the potential of having some really fast times. Looking forward to seeing someone come along and crush it!
