I completed the supported Fastest Known Time on the Pacific Crest Trail in 45 days, 20 hours, and 11 minutes.
This journey was far more difficult than I had imagined.
During the first 11 days, I ran almost every night to escape the extreme heat of Southern California, reaching Kennedy Meadows with very little sleep. By Day 15, the accumulated fatigue had completely caught up with me. I took my only zero day of the entire attempt, and honestly, I came very close to ending the project. At that moment, I wasn't sure I would even continue.
Looking back, the hardest section wasn't the desert, it was Northern California. Endless miles through burned forests, little visual variety, difficult footing, and the mental exhaustion of knowing there was still such a long way to go made it the toughest part of the trail for me.
This was also my first supported FKT attempt on the PCT, and our lack of logistical experience certainly cost us valuable time. We learned every day, often the hard way. We would have loved to receive advice from previous record holders, as learning from those who had already succeeded would have been invaluable, but that wasn't the case. We had to figure almost everything out ourselves along the way.
Despite all of this, we kept moving forward.
None of this would have been possible without my incredible support crew.
A huge thank you to Lucille, who gave everything she had for this dream. She sacrificed her own sleep, comfort, and energy every single day, solving problems before I even knew they existed. She carried an enormous part of this record.

Later, Gilbert, Troy, Tracy, and Taylor joined the team. Their help became absolutely crucial during the final part of the project. They brought fresh energy, experience, kindness, and motivation exactly when we needed it most.
This record belongs to all of us.
The Pacific Crest Trail challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally more than anything I have ever done. Finishing it in under 46 days is something I will carry with me forever.
