Stumbled across a few Tinners way signs whilst out on a run. After a bit of research, I found out it had ben registered as an FKT. Why not have a crack, weather was nice, ground was dry, wind direction could of been more kind but wasn’t a big deal, but this is Cornwall and it is a bank holiday weekend, think myself lucky.
starting at the stack at Cape Cornwall and finishing on The Island in St Ives the route offers varied terrain the whole way. The first couple of miles are on the knarly SWP then it’s mainly track, with a healthy helping of road and moorland along the way to the finish. The last couple of miles are quick, what feels to be downhill all the way into St Ives. Save something in the tank for the last push to the top of the Island.

I took a litre of PH1500 in soft flasks and 2 60g PH soft chews for fueling. The only place I saw a tap for a re supply is at Trevalgen touring park (2.5 miles out from the finish)

There is a lot of room left to remove a fair few minutes from my finish time. So for those that can skip over rough terrain faster than I’ll ever be able to, Good Luck and GET AFTER IT!!
