On 1/11/25, my birthday, I wanted to run 37 miles for my 37 trips around the sun. Waushara County is 42 miles and the weather provided a window, so I went for it! Although it was cold, I prepared well and had a solid run. Every footstep of this run was new trail for me. I wasn't sure what water sources would be frozen, and I assumed all water spigots would be turned off, so I carried everything I would need for the run with me from the start. As it turned out, there was a flowing creek at around the 30 mile mark, but I didn't need it and didn't bring filtration. Throughout the run I only passed one other person the entire time, and a few cars on the road sections.
