On Monday March 23 I decided to head out to run the Turtle Mountain out and back a little early in the season. For a fast time, the conditions were rough as almost every step would break through a hard layer of snow but for a benchmark time, the conditions were perfect. The fresh snowfall made for a very scenic run and allowed me to see some fresh tracks on the trail (Snowshoe Hare, White-Tailed Deer & Moose). I cannot wait to test my limits on this trail when the snow melts and would love for others to shave some time off of this FKT.
